Hi Hearth Forum community!

I'm a newbie here, but by no means am I new to the site. For the last six months I've been scouring through all the threads I could find that were of relevance to me and the project I was embarking on. As a way of thanking all of you for your spirit of community and willingness to share, I felt it was only appropriate to share my project with you all!

Unfortunately, the file is too large to upload to the site so I'll host it on Box.com and you guys can preview it there. It's a picture tutorial of converting my old 1900's fireplace into a new home for a wood stove. In the end I chose to go with the Quadra Fire Explorer III in frost and have been loving it now that the cold has set it on the east coast!

Take a look and share your thoughts!

Awesome. You remind me of a buddy of mine.....planning every step, measure, templates, and the whole nine yards, and it shows in the quality of the finished product.......I'm more of a seat of the pants type.
