Haven't burned them yet, but picked up 4 bags the other day. Truthfully, I almost didn't because although the pellets were inside, they had obviously been outside and the pellets were frozen together (that is what it felt like handling the bags). I banged a couple of bags, and they broke up into what felt like pellet-sized chumks, so I bought the four.

Just opened the first bag (literally - 5 minutes ago) and dumped it in the P61. That stove won't get to them until Monday or Tuesday, but first impressions:
  • Zero dust
  • Zero fines
  • Short, fairly uniform length, blondish pellets (blonder than PTL's anyway)
  • Smelled okay but I haven't found any that actually smell like wood to me (except the TSC dark pine bedding pellets which burned like chit for me - but even DL's and Vermont's smell, somehow - other), but the Inferno's don't smell as bad as some I've gotten
I actually have hopes these will burn okay. If so, I'll be taking advantage of Lowe's sale price (assuming the price stays that way for another week or so). I wonder how long the free shipping lasts - anyone know?

The Lowe's in Bedford can't even get their Inferno's out as they are iced in. As long as they are covered well with plastic, they should still be okay.

To add to my review that I gave earlier - I was happy with the Inferno's. Less ash than PTL's when it went thru the P43, and less ash than the Platinum's that I have been running in the P61 (each stove got 2 bags of the Inferno's). Heat output was good to. I will buy these against PTL's or FSU's any day (or at least this year's offerings).

I'm really hoping my shipment from Lowe's is the Inferno's and not the Maine's Choice (although I haven't burned MC this year)
