Hi I just picked up a non working 2011 Enviro Empress FPI a couple weeks ago for free off from Craigslist.
The guy said the control board was bad so I turned stove on and the Auger and Ignitor were not working.
The combustion blower came on when turned on then I jumped the exhaust snap disc and the blower fan came on so it's good.
I also checked the high limit disc and it's good.
On shutdown the unit would not turn off by itself.
The Daughter Board did control the fan speed when I started a fire in it manually once stove was heated up.
What I need to know if anyone knows which parts are most likely bad on Control Board?
All the fuses on it are fine I checked them also.
I did pick up a new Control Board really cheap and stove works fine but would love to repair the old board.
Hopefully a bad Triac or Relay hopefully? riac or Relay hopefully?

Can't help you with the specifics of the board. Thought you might appreciate this service manual with wiring diagram that may help you sort it out:

Thanks for the link but I already have that manual.
It's usually a daughter board. However, electrical parts are not returnable. I'd go with a new mother/ daughter board cable then at least you have a full warranty
Hi I did get a new Control board and Daughter board I also put the old Daughter board on the new one to test it and it worked fine? So I think problem is on the main Control Board just need to figure out which parts there's no Schematics around is there for that Board? Thanks.

I have an older Empress FPI, and also had trouble with the main board. I'm a former Systems Analyst/Engineer, so I know my way around a schematic. But I couldn't get one out of them. After looking at the waveforms, it appeared that there were some hardware design errors which acted like programming errors; there were spurious signals which eventually caused problems with the board's triacs. A new board was the only answer.

Trash the old board, don't look back.

Thanks for the reply. I will keep the new board in it.

Well I got to playing around with the old board and found it had 1 bad relay switch (the one with the sticker on top) so I ordered one online installed it and it worked. Stove back up and running.Thanks.

New to the forum, been reading for years. I've had had my Enviro for 8 years.

I'm about to go to my third motherboard. It is really frustrating, seems really poorly engineered. I'm considering building a completely Solid State relay based system that I can manually tune the speed of the motors. I have a real issue with spending hundreds on another flawed motherboard configuration.

I'll have to see if the relay on the board is my issue and replace it if is. That will at least hold me off. My ignitor is interment and I'm manually lighting it at the present time. It is not the ignitor or the connections, I think the relay went out. I've also noticed some motor noise that seems to be caused by the motherboard output and not the motors.
