I have a 10-year-old Danson/PelPro Bayview Stove. The parts for which are located here - https://shop.pelprostoves.com/Products/MDL-8004/Bayview-Pellet-Stove/

However, the only part I need to replace is the fan, not the entire combustion fan assembly (part #KS-5020-1050), which is the only way it's currently sold at $250 shipped. The fan that I pulled had disintegrated into a pile of rust and was the old squirrel cage type and measured at 4.75". The closest replacement part I've seen is .25" shy here - http://www.pellet-stove-parts-4less...st-Blower-Impeller-for-Whitfield-p/pp7902.htm

Alternatively, this fan is 5" but doesn't appear to be the correct depth. http://pellethead.com/product/5-single-paddle-combustion-fan-blade-impeller-part-3-20-40985/

I've contacted Danson/PelPro and a few other places as well. None of which were willing to give me dimensions or an alternative for a replacement fan.

More details on the fan I'm looking for. Do I need to be concerned with CFM when it comes to combustion fans?

The measurements I have are 4.75" diameter and 1/4" shaft. The housing looks like with take a depth of 1.5"

Note the old fan takes up most of the housing space.

Note the newer fan seems to fill the same space as well.

Another angle showing the depth of the fan.

Hello
When HHT purchased Danson's Pelpro they redesigned 2 major parts of the old Pelpro Stoves when creating their new Pelpro PP60 & PP130 Pelpro stoves.

1. The new auger has the quadrafire feed motor. However using that motor on the bottom of a top feed auger is not a good design.
2. The new combustion fan has the quadrafire 9 blade impeller with the taller petals. This is a much better design.

I myself would rather have the old HHPP2BD Pelpro stove with the new combustion fan than a newer PP130 with the awkward auger design. Just my 2 cents. I think the older stoves will last longer. :)

As far as the CFM goes it is about the same.

Look up A082 Fasco on internet. Should be able to get it for $85 or so. You might have to use the Heatilator cast aluminum exhaust collector which adds another $25. However, the old Pelpro flatop and 120lb models had a metal collector that will screw in place, not sure about the bay model.

Hello
If I may suggest this impeller blade as a solution?
This blade will increase the CFM from 85 to 105 and it will fit the shaft.

That looks exactly like the fan that’s currently installed and not working.

Hey, kind of an old post, but just wanted to throw in my opinion. My Pelpro Flat top pellet stove had the same exact blower in it, and I purchased a used breckwell housing with a removable center hub, and an Earthsense motor and paddle fan blade for a Harman that uses that exact same blade you pictured, only 4.75" diameter, and it's working great on my stove. You may have to do a super deep cleaning and get all the ash out of the stove. I have my original squirrel cage if your interested in it, I may sell it to you. I bought the stove brand new 2 years ago on clearance for $350, so the squirrel cage is in great shape, I just wanted a removable hub for cleaning, and a quieter ball bearing motor as apposed to the bushing motor that was in it. Let me know, but I have a feeling that if the squirrel cage looks like that, the motor is probably worn out and could use replacement as well. I would also consider selling the motor and squirrel cage assembly as a whole, so that might be a good option for you.

I have another one of the flat top stoves that needs a new exhaust blower, and this paddle looks promising. More flow is always better. Where can these be purchased?

I put the links to 2 of them in you other thread

I did a super deep cleaning the first time when I pulled the stove apart. The lack of blades on the blower fan doesn't move enough are for the stove. The stove never gets a nice flame and shuts off after an hour. This was never the case with the previous fan. I've tested all the sensors and they work perfectly fine. I've adjusted all trims endlessly and spent far too much frustrating time on this to try and make this fan blade work.

If you're willing to sell the squirrel cage fan to me, I'd be interested.

Hello
I have enough experience with that stove to say that the CFM may not be your issue. It is more likely that the bladder in your vacuum switch is brittle and may have a small tear that can sometimes leak air and not hold that normally open micro switch closed. You can check this with a brake bleeder valve used to bleed brake lines in autos by pumping air into the negative pressure port on the vacuum switch and see if it holds air and the pressure stays up on the vacuum Guage. If the stove is old, I would just replace the switch and try it.
Always unplug the stove before working inside. That stove has a very sensitive memory chip that looses it’s mind very easily from a static discharge. When that happens, the board can not be repaired because the programming needed.

Might be worth checking W W Grainger, I know they are the source of most of mechanicals of my old VC stove?https://www.grainger.com/?cm_mmc=PP...06922&ef_id=WvedbwAAAFTatldN:20180917193239:s

I appreciate the insight. I did start by replacing vacuum switch.

Saw this a bit late. Thank you! I actually found the fan for the same unit. I also located this part and saved it for later, just in case. Thank you!

Installed the fan 2 weeks ago. The stove has been running flawlessly since.
