Connecting flex pipe to harman accentra 52i

Can anyone post pictures of how they connected the 4” flex pipe to the stub pipe on the exhaust side. Also, is there a connector I can use that will attach to the stub?

you can attach the pipe into the female stub on the stove, making sure the stub to facing up. Usr high temp RTV around the flex pipe then slide the flex pipe into the stub. use three screws to connect the flex pipe and stub together.

Ok so I don’t even need a band clamp or anything? Do you suggest self tappers with bigger washers?

Thank you! Your last picture is what I have been looking for and explains it all. Did you cut a metal blocking plate for right above the stove? Also, my chimney is so tall I decided to install the harman chimney top oak kit and just stop the 3” oak right above the dampener area. Do you have any suggestions on putting a cap on the 3” so nothing can fall right into it such as bugs or old junk inside the flue?

I use 100% fire Proof Roxul insulation above the stove in the damper shelf instead of a metal fire block. Make sure the 3” flex pipe for the air intake rises above the insulation. You can use a radiator hose clamp and screen to cap the top of the fresh air pipe. The insulation is very important to keep the heat in the room. It makes the stove 10% more efficient so you use 10% less energy to heat your house
Did you buy the optional Harman air adapter and top of the chimney Harman air collar? I think they are well worth the expense and easier to install it all at once.

Yeah I just need to install it on the stove and I also ordered the harman air collar. Can’t find any advice on installing the collar hopefully it comes with everything.

Hear are pics of an older Accentra Insert that we installed the air adapter on and then put Roxul above the stove frame on the damper shelf.
