Hello,
I installed my stove last year and have gotten a bit rusty on the rules since then. I have all the clearances with plenty to spare. Curious if shiplap is allowed on my walls? Currently the stove pipe goes through the finished drywall behind the stove and into the garage and up and out. Can I ship lap up to and tuck under the thimble flange? Or should I just run the shiplap up close to the round thimble leaving some drywall exposed?

Thanks!

You need to look at the directions for your thimble for that answer

Drywall is combustible, shiplap is combustible, if you can do it with drywall then you can do it with shiplap.

This image says to stay away 3/16" on a NON combustible wall. Since the shiplap is wood should I be farther out?

that 3/16" is from the chimney itself not the wall passthrough. What type of chimney is it?

Inside it is the single wall black into the wall and turns into the class A selkirk/supervent 6" Menards bought pipe.
Does the single wall black actually go into the wall like you say or does the chimney stick out of the wall?

Sorry. It goes into the same brand stove pipe adapter which also has the thimble piece over it to somewhat cover the transition.

ok so pull off the inner plate run your shiplap even with the drywall and put the plate back
