I want to connect an external thermostat (I'm thinking this one) but I have some questions...

The manual for my stove doesn't give much guidance other than "connect the thermostat according the the manufacturer's directions". There's two screw terminals in the back that I would connect the wire to, but then what terminals am I connecting those two wires to?

Thanks in advance for the help. :)

your only going to use 2 wires from Tstat so they go 1 to 1. you new Tstat will have the hook up guide with it

But to to which two terminals in the thermostat am I connecting the two wires coming from the stove? This is the diagram for the "2, 3, 4, 5" wire setup. Am I correct that the two wires from the stove will connect to RH and W1? And do I leave the RH to RC jumper or remove it?

I just finished installing it, set the temp on the thermostat for 85 as a test and the stove fired right up.

Thank you for your help, Ssyko... it's very appreciated. :)

The OP had terminals on the back of his stove. I dont know if he put the wrong model in the heading or what. It should be the cast iron model I believe, its the only one with a tstat connection

Yeah, I mistyped the model number... it's the PPC90 and the Tractor Supply Company version is the TSC90, but they're the same stove.

The thermostat connections are at the bottom of the stove in the back... it's just two screws you attach the thermostat wire to.
