Pulled the trigger on the Ravelli RV80

So on Friday I will be installing my Ravelli RV80 can not wait to burn some pellets. Tired of hearing the heat pump run. Hopefully it will be dialed in as we are gonna get our first cold snap of the season.

Stoves and stuff in Allentown. They are doing the install and going to walk me through set-up and general maintenance and cleaning

Oh ok good deal, several folks here that are pretty sharp with the Ravelli's in case you have any questions. How was Stoves N Stuff to deal with, just wondering in case I ever need parts they may be another source.

They were very good to work with. Are parts hard to get have you had any major problems with the ravelli?

Parts aren't a problem to get if going through a dealer but hard to get online, most other brands of stoves parts are easily available online. I haven't had a single problem with my Francesca to date, this is my 3rd season with it. Ravelli does use good components in their stoves so should be trouble free for several years. What made you decide on the Ravelli.

We liked the design and they had the one in the showroom running and it was quiet. I was having trouble deciding between the 80 and 100 but thought the 100 would be overkill. I’m heating 1022 square feet open concept ranch with ceiling fans in every room. The price was great also compared to the Harman allure.

yeah I love how quiet my Francesca is, I'm heating a 1275 sq. ft. open ranch with my little francesca and very very rarely turn my stove above heat level 1 so you should have plenty of stove with the 80. I ended up with the Ravelli because of a killer deal on it.

I figured once the house is up to temp I should be able to set it and let it run. Have you found a decent brand of pellets that burn best in the ravelli.

In my area it's pretty much just hardwoods available and they all burn pretty much the same with hamers hot ones being slightly the best.

Nice stove, congrats. I have had a Ravelli/Ecoteck Elena (a pre RDS model), burning on my 6th wnterso far. I replaced the burn pot and the top flame baffle, and the room temp sensor. The auger motor needed some oil last year. Love the quietness and the programmable thermostat. I have burnt hardwoods and softwoods in it (this season, the softwood EasyBlaze pellets are the best I have burned so-far).

Please help me with my Ravelli RV80! We cannot seem to get the room heated up?! We didn’t get good instructions from the dealer and the manual is nearly impossible to understand! Currently the set room temp is at 82’, the power is at 3 and it’s only showing it’s 66’ in the room. We are burning the Logic-E premium softpellets. What are we doing wrong?!?!

For how long has the stove been running and you are only at 66F?

We have had the stove for about a month. We have gone through 1 ton of pellets already. We clean the stove about every 5-6 days

Have you done a deep clean, opened the clean outs and vacuum, brushed the heat exchanger tubes, clean the venting.

So should we be putting the power level on 5 the entire day/night?

The stove has been running for 2 days at 66’...day and night

We did just set the power to 4 and it has increased to 69’ within the hour...yay..

Are your windows drafty?

My guess is that the BTU output of this stove is inadequate for the size and insulation of your home.

You should do a "deep clean" after every ton burnt.

If and when the room temperature comes up to a comfortable level, back the power level to 4. And set your thermostat to a reasonable setting.....not 82F....

I have the rv100c and love it. I was going to go for the rv80 but wanted the bigger hopper and more btu since I burn 24/7. I found the room temp sensor to record about 3 degrees less then room temp 15 feet away from stove. So to get 74 where we sit I set the stove at 71. I use chronstat to change the temp at 23:30 to 62 pe then back to 71 p5 at 06:00 so the family room is nice and toasty in the morning. I clean every 3-4 days takes 10 minutes. Remember the rv80 is only 35k but but my Environment mini was 30k and would really pump out the heat. How large an open area is the stove in?

Mine doesn’t say anything, i just get “the look” you all know what that is! And she will have her throw blanket on.
