Regardless, I'm going to do it because I don't plan on living here for ever. 4 acres isnt enough for me lol

Lol, I own five acres but when your surrounded by neighbors it's no different then living in the city, would love to move far away.

Yeah, this is our first home. We lived in a 1 bedroom 700sq ft apt for 3 years to sace up a big chunk and this place fell into our lap. But we eventually wanna build and i want at least 10 or more acres. No one is really close to me now, but i wanna make the house sellable in case a sweet lot comes for sale

10 acres? How much time do you have to mow the lawn?

Crap, I have a walk behind mower. But, I am a poor immigrant.
Lol, well I have a 350 foot driveway, and tomorrow morning that tractor will get good use, it has a snow plow :) spring time it has a tiller attachment for the garden, and i can tow my log splitter with it to anywhere on the property wheb I fell a tree, and i have a trailer to tow with it to load wood into

Well, I installed it non insulated, but I stuffed from the top and the bottom with Roxul. Using a piece of lumber to stuff it up/down. It is now considered insulated for at least 80% of the length.

So if you have a insulated liner you don't have to use Roxul, you guys are just using Roxul instead of liner insulation.

That is what I did. I should have bought a pre-insulated liner, but I did not. So, I insulated with Roxul after the liner was in the masonry chimney.

Since I have a insulated liner the only place I need to insulate now with Roxul is around the insert. Right

The Roxul behind the block off plate should that be done to keep the heat from escaping up, like your doing with the insert, or is the Roxul behind the block off plate there because your liner was not insulated.

Its to keep the heat inside the fireplace to keep the stove hot
