Hello everyone, and thanks in advance for reading through my issue. I searched for a solution, and while there are other similar issues, none matched my specific problem.

My stove recently stopped feeding pellets after the initial startup and first light of the stove being turned on. Everything seems to be operating fine for the first 5 minutes:
  1. I turn stove on
  2. Auger and fan kick on
  3. Pellets drop
  4. Ignitor lights pellets
  5. Blower fan turns on
  6. Then, no more pellets are fed
At that time the reset button does not engage the auger. Call light is on. Green light on the board until fire lights, then no more green light, even when the brief fire goes out. I can turn the stove off and back on again, and the process mentioned above starts over.

All mechanical components seem to be working individually, but maybe the board is seeing an erroneous condition it doesn't like. Any help is appreciated!

Check the proof of fire switch . If it does not get warm enough
or is not working the fire goes out because the
stove tells the auger to stop no pellets no fire

On the santa fe, you have a thermocouple that serves as the proof of fire switch. It sends a signal back to the control board, when 200 degrees is sensed in the burnpot, it turns on the green light on the board. At 600 degrees, it changes to a red light. If you are not getting there, make sure the thermocouple is out all the way in the ceramic cover which extends over the burnpot about one inch. you may have a tired tc,and I'm wondering if you have sufficient fuel to generate enough heat to get the tc signal. If you restart unit right away, will it then complete its cycle? Is the burnpot holes nice and clear for airflow? Is the bottom of the burnpot fully closed, not losing any airflow? I reread your post, if stove will not restart, I'd try and get control board checked at a dealer (substitute into a store's demo unit and test control board functioning) if possible. Good luck with it.

Try pulling your vacuum line off the vacuum switch and blowing the line out. I’d also clean your pipe, exhaust blower, behind baffles, in the bottom of the hopper anywhere else that’s dirty. Poor vacuum do to a clog or leak somewhere is usually what stops the auger from working. If cleaning doesn’t get it and you’ve checked your door gasket with a dollar bill and it’s good then you might have a thermocouple going out. You can take the cover off the thermocouple and look for breaks or cracks and you can unplug it and check it for continuity with a meter. Also, is your control board clear? If it is, what other lights are you getting.

If trying to start it in low, try starting on medium. kap

Did you find a solution for this? I have a Quadra Fire 1200-I that does the exact same thing. As soon as the fan turns on(blowing heat into the room), the auger stops, and the flame goes out within a couple of minutes.

From the research I have done, it appears that it could be a number of things (snapdiscs, thermocouple, vacuum line, etc.). Any help is greatly appreciated!!
