hi all. In the process of buying a house. We close end of this month! We bought a VC intrepid v1 in perfect condition. The wall we want to put it on has a baseboard for the oil heat. This would be ideal spot. Or location two would be on the opposite wall. But we also would like to put the TV on this wall. What are our options?

If it goes on this wall we want tv over it. How could we do?

Possible to the right or left of the wall AC?

On this wall we would want extreme left by window in corner. Is window to close?

It's not good idea to put the tv over the stove, scratch that one. On the wall with the AC, but to the left of the ridge looks best. The manual has the hearth and clearance requirements. Do you have that?

Yes I have the manual. Someone nicely shared it on here last week. When putting a back splash. How do I handle the baseboard?

Is this a decorative backsplash? Are you considering a wall shield for clearance reduction?

Looking for wall shield for clearance reduction. The stove already has a heat shield on it as well. I would like like to put it around 20" from the wall

Start the wall shield 1" above the baseboard. If the wall shield is on 1" spacers and properly done you can bring it closer, the manual says 10".

Can you or someone decipher this for me?

Why would top exit be 30" but rear exit be 13"?

Trying to figure out what I need to do to get the stove as close to the wall as I can

You need the full chart in order to understand the difference. What they are accounting for is whether the stove pipe is shielded or not. This is shown on the left end of the chart. If not shielded, then the stove pipe clearance requirement trumps the stove clearance.

If you connect the stove with double-wall stove pipe and put a proper, ventilated NFPA 211 wall shield behind the stove then it looks like you can take the stove to 9" from the combustible wall.
