New Pellet Boiler or Wood Boiler

Hello I currently have a Johnson outdoor wood boiler that has been used since 2001. I have been thinking of installing a new gasification outdoor wood boiler, outdoor pellet boiler, or indoor pellet boiler. I am getting tired of cutting as much wood as I do to be honest with you. My house was built in 2000 and has 2100 sq ft with baseboard hot water, 2100 sq ft basement with radiant in floor, and attached garage with 576 sq ft radiant in floor (5000 total sq ft). inside i have a viessmann propane boiler from year 2000. one concern I would have with indoor pellet boiler would be hauling pellets in the house all the time, but would be better than cutting wood and filling stove twice a day. Any suggestions? thank you for your time!

If I had a pellet boiler I would have bulk pellet storage attached. That way you can load in several days worth of fuel at a time. You might also post in the boiler room forum to get more wood burning perspectives.

I would go with an indoor pellet boiler. All of the heat given off by the unit, except what goes up the chimney, stays inside your building. Most efficient energy use. I have a Harman PB105 boiler that I did not use this last winter because propane is cheaper. When I do run the PB105, the mechanical room that the unit is installed in, is 10 degrees warmer than when I use the propane boiler.

What State are you in? NY has some huge incentives.

agree with the comment above and go with a indoor unit. Keep as much of that heat indoors as you can.
