Yes it's an oatey drain plug 3" though
I bought a 3” test plug this morning. The ID of my pipe is 3 1/2, but the plug seems tight enough. Thanks!

Yeah gotta crank it down pretty far to get tight but it works. I use it when I do the LBT also.
 
Leaf blower trick
I thought you put the blower on the exhaust and sucked out the ash? I should get a cheap blower and try that. But then there are lots that I should do! Stove is done, pellets should be delivered in a couple weeks.

home depot electric cheapo blower/leaf vacuum. fits perfect inside 3" pipe.

Correct you do use suction, depending on how the exhaust is run depends on how you hook up the blower, my clean out T is outside so I plug the exhaust outlet and hook up the blower just like Tony pictured.

Did summer clean on July 6th, will be burning again in about 75 days :)
