where I get detergent for red wasp

I mean DETERRENT.....Hubby said years ago they were strips put in cable boxes or utility boxes to catch or deter wasp.
Im tired of being he'd hostage and getting stung esp by those blanket blank red wasp/ they are everywhere round this place. They were on the porch light other night. On bottom of one of my storage garden shelving. On one of my bluebberry plants last week. under mower hood for Hubby. He sprayed them with long real spray. BUT THEY WERE BACK COUPLE WEEKS LATER. WE OWN SEVERAL OF THOSE FINE MESH GETUP
PANTS AND TOP WITH HOOD... I ordered them years ago for each of us.
I also have my flyswatter handy in the evening. They stung me so bad weeks ago on my ear and behind ear it kept a coming. I cried cause it hurt so much. Same Ah went after Hubby. I didn't even know the Ah were up on the eve vent. right above outside door.. I was just out side talking to Hubby
I know they are pollinators but Im sick of the ticks, wasp, mosquito. Im a gardener so outside lots.
anybody know the name of such a pest strip? commercial ones even. Rah.
Course I prefer natural tried peppermint spray. Matter fact peppermint is growing just feet. from where one attacked me. Even bought non toxic spray years ago from Target. thanks yall

Sounds like you have a nest somewhere in your home, like a soffit or under the porch floor boards if you have that. Once the colony settles in, it will just get worse by the year, and no matter how many you trap they will come back. Find the nest and treat it. I would start looking around the spot where you got stung. You were probably near the nest and they were being defensive. If you look around you can see them flying to and from their nest. Just follow them.

I just had to get rid of a nest of very aggressive bees, that had just settled in the porch floor boards. They would attack immediately if you stood on the porch for more than 30 seconds.
 
I had a bee keeper tell me this years ago, and it works. I had a hive of bees establish themselves in my soffit , gaining entrance through a small knothole. He said to put a bee excluder over the knothole, which lets them leave the nest, but not return. They will build up a cloud of bees outside trying to get in. Then he said to obtain a pump type weed sprayer, and fill it with water and about a cup of liquid detergent. When sprayed on the bees, the soapy water clogs their respiratory system, and they will immediately fall to the ground and die. He said that insecticide will take some time to kill them, and in they meantime they will become agitated and attack you.

I tried this and it worked just as described. After some days of this most of the bees had been killed off and the hive became inactive. I have no idea if the same will happen with wasps.
 
thanks y'all But they are everywhere. Get rid one nest and kill them kill one set and gobs more around. I just saw another new well prob been there for a while one of my raised beds / Im lucky they didn't sting me when I have to water everyday. Im doing the 2 ft tall hdwe cloth circles lined with black landscape fabric straw etc. this year .Im used straw and cardboard to line inside so they have gobs of places to hide. they are everywhere soffits, shelving, under decks, in bushes even though we had some cold winter days the creeps are mean suckers. Just found another tiny tick when I went outside this morning to pull weeds, yeah I know they are pollinators.but Im tired of being held hostage....
 
Find the nest, then call a pest control company. They will kill it quickly. Then you won't have to worry about being stung.

I know one thing . . . trying to freeze a hornet's nest with a carbon dioxide extinguisher does NOT work like I thought it would. Had to resort to sending them to Hell via a fiery death involving a mix of aviation fuel and Jet A fuel. Figured my "Fire and Ice" plan would work much better by freezing them, numbing them and then setting them on fire. The cold just seemed to really tick them off.

y'all Guys are helpful but funny at times. Call a pest control company.Like everyday gobs of places. I hate the A hats go the spryer with water but forget to take it with me the countless times I go in and out the door. we already paying for a pest control company for the purgatory house.
Hubby years ago got a big hornets nest in tree in evening with foamy shaving cream. that was many years ago. way up in a tree.
NOW we don those "no seeum "mesh suits. 2 pcs.....suits zip off. well worth the money. great stuff but be sure to wear heavy or long cuff gloves too. The suits are made in USA GUYs....found my invoice from 2012 or so bought total of two for each of us. for both locations.
while ago he le out the red from hell wasp between the two doors. in the hell hole I call this place that others call Paradise.
If y'all could hear me carry on when I get stuck....whew oo
