I just had a Harman P43 installed on 10/09/18 and it is mainly burning on the left side.. How can I fix this? Or do I need the Stove guy who installed it come out??

Thanks

Alot of time on startup any way it will burn on the left side for me (I have a lopi) because that's where the ignitor is. Is it always burning on that side regardless of heat and feed setting, or just start up?

Mine leans a little left as well. Make sure all the vent holes in the burn pot are clear. If so then it's probably normal.

I'm curious if the draft speeds were adjusted for installation. Mine did the left side burn along with blowing burning pellets out if the burnpot until draft was adjusted downward (less air flow).

That I don't know, The installer was from the dealer ( not a subcontractor ). I have a lot of sparks flying around.

Guess it would be best to complain to dealer and have them fix it.

In my case it was a used stove and an adjustment of the white potentiometer in the middle of the control panel fixed the issue. Turned with a small screwdriver CCW slows the exhaust fan down.

Dealer should have gauge to measure vacuum as described in manual for best burn characteristics at low draft and high draft modes.

Shim the left side of the stove so that the flames fall down to the right.... Or, if it’s just doing it on startup, it’s normal. If it’s doing it all the time, adjust the tiny white dial with a tiny flathead screw driver and see how that changes the flame. If your dropping pellets over the edge of the firepot, you may also want to turn your feed down. Long story short, don’t get in too big of a hurry to call your dealer back out. They don’t live in your home and watch the stove every day. Give it a little time and play with the settings to find what works in your home.

I have a older Harman P43 [10 years or better ]. It has developed a similar problem. It burns on the left side of the pot, & pushes pellets off the edge. I'll be interested in forthcoming answers.
