Hi,

I have a Summers Heat Pellet Stove manufactured in 2014. It keeps shutting down and turning off after the initial start up. Here's the scenario.

I push the On button. The stove begins starting up. Pellets are fed into the burn pot. Pellets catch fire. Blower turns on. Pellets die out. No new pellets are fed into burn pot. Stove starts shutting down. Stove turns off. Pellets are now fed into burn pot, but can't catch fire because stove is off. No error codes show up.

Here's what we've already done.

Take apart back of stove. remove and clean augers and replace. vacuum and scrape all around inside of stove, including vacuum port.

Would appreciate some guidance.

Thank you in advance!

Terri

Check your door and hopper gaskets be sure they are sealing right. Check your OAK if one is installed. It should be a vacuum port in the firebox, you can clean it with a tooth pick.

Thank you. What is OAK? Do you know how to check to see if the door and hopper gaskets are sealing right?

Outside Air Kit. On door gaskets you can shut a dollar bill in the door and see if you can easily pull it out. Or if you have a lighter you can run the flame around the edges to see if it gets sucked in anywhere or blown out. You can also fill the whole stove with water while it has a fire and is hooked up to power and check for drips underneath.

Also check the switch inside the hopper. Be sure the wires are connected to the switch and the switch works. Sorry I didn't answer before. Run the dollar bill test. If everything is okay contact Englander tech support. They should help you, they are good people. Sometimes during heating season they take awhile to answer due to they are busy. Keep trying or wait in line.

I think filling the stove with water to see if it's water tight would be the first thing to check. Make sure the fire is out first, always fill your stove with water when it's not in use.
