I have a QuadraFire800. Love this stove. A few days ago it started acting wierd. Basically, the stove will fire up when I turn up the thermostat......but after 60 seconds or so the auger just stops feeding. I can hit the reset auger button and it feed pellets for another 60+ seconds. Then stops. Repeat. Repeat. What could cause the auger to shut down like this? If I sit there and push reset I can get a normal fire going with full blowers. But I can't heat my house otherwise

Anyone at all? Snap disc possibly? Vacuum Switch??

Ted,

I'm currently trying to figure out my own unit. However, in the process I "jumped" each snap switch & vacuum switches, one at a time. After running cycles I was able,to isolate the "problem switch"...
However, I tested the switches to learn that they worked fine, and the stove was shutting down after 15mins as the area where my sensor (POF/LowTemp) is mounted fails to reach much over 110°F...
I hope this helps...

A little more info would help. Does the stove do the initial dump of fuel? Around 60 seconds. Then fire starts, but doesn't feed after that on its own? Check your firepot thermocouple to see if it is good. Just a continuity test will work. If it is good, make sure it is touching the inside end of the cover and that the cover is sticking in the pot 1". With you hitting the reset constantly and getting good fire, and stove not working, says thermocouple isn't sensing the fire. kap

Ty Kap,
I replaced my therocouple. Also took the control box to stove shop and it worked perfectly on his stove at the shop ......however the green and red light on my control box do not light up when my stove is running, but at the stove shop the lights on my control box lit up just fine. This problem started overnight while my stove was running via thermostat. I'm still hitting reset button for heat lol, but it's much better than nothing. Vac switch is working properly also. I bypassed vac switch and still won't feed the pellets after the initial start up .

Still seems to be pointing at tcouple

Try putting a little pressure on one side of the control box and see if you get lights. My socket was not making a good connection, i bent the socket just enough to make a good connection
