Hi, I’m new to pellet stoves. I bought this used and saw it working perfectly before I bought it. We cleaned it and got the damper unstuck and now it’s been one thing after another. It is burning very hot with a very high flame even on lowest setting. We’ve tried adjusting the damper and feed rate and it helped for a short time today then the flames got crazy again. I will include a video of what it’s doing. Appreciate any help I can get!

Sorry! I can’t get a video to load! But I was wondering as to the picture that did load, should I be able to see daylight through that?

I cannot get the link to work, but have this manual saved on my phone, do you have a page number? It does seem to be dumping too many pellets. Thank you for your reply!

It would if you could tell us what the picture is and where are you taking the picture from .

It was not on a thermostat. We had it apart to clean and free up the damper, it worked great after until it started blowing the fuse. Took it apart to find wires had come in contact with the exhaust. Got that fixed and now this. Frustrating! Thanks for the link will read up after work today

So my stove still has issues, using the auger trim button didn’t help. I’m wondering now if the control board may have been damaged we had the fuses blowing? Now getting lots of gunk in the fire pot too. Not sure it would be worth it to find a repair person or if there’s even anyone who serviced my area! Thanks in advance for any response!

You said you had to free up damper .
Where do you have the damper set ?

It is closed (pushed all the way in) it doesn’t see to make a difference with any adjustments I’ve made, it I’m new to the pellet world.

The manual should give you a start up sequence and damper settings. Page 19 follow the steps and let us know the outcome.

Your stove start up is on page 20

Ok, so I have gone through the whole process, getting very little change from damper adjustment or auger trim ( waiting about 15 min after every adjustment) I’ve included a few pics, not sure if they will be of any use but it’s what the flame looks like most all of the time. The pot also looks really full compared to how it was when we first got it.

Is the door open ? or is that just the decoration ?
What is the heat setting ?
how long had the stove been running ?
had the heat lite turned solid ?
this means it has reached operating temp. and you can
now adjust the temp output ?
does the auger cycle or just keep running ?

It’s just the decorative doors that are open. Heat setting is low. Stove was running little oer an hour 1/2 before I got nervous. It will turn solid and I can turn it from high to low. But the auger feeds the same no matter the setting, it’s using pellets fast and only slowed when it was nearly out of pellets. Thanks for your reply!

Does the ON/Off lite turn solid (not flashing)after approx 15 Min ?
Which board is in your stove see pictures in manual ?
Is the mode switch in manual?

This is a long shot but try .
Unplug stove for a few minuets ,plug it back in and check operation
Does the auger run continuously or does it pulse on/off ?
The 2 wires that burnt where did the go ?

One was the auger motor and the blower I believe. It pulses. We plan to take it apart and re check everything hopefully later (deer season makes fixing anything take longer) I will give unplugging a try first.

If you put the stove in the Hi/Lo setting, does the fire go down after start up?

Also, that Heat Level button looks pretty beat up (Enviros are known for this). When you press that button, does the Heat level move up and down? I am thinking that button is the issue, so running the stove in Hi/Lo should override the manual setting and turn the stove down once the start up process is done. It is just a test to narrow the issue down.

For this to work must have a thermostat
If he crossed the 2 burnt wires this may cause the problem he has

Right.... Also, if there is no thermostat connected to the stove, the jumper wire between the thermostat connection terminals has to be removed. This makes the stove believe the thermostat is not calling for heat.

The heat level button did work. We’ve gone from bad to worse as now the auger will not turn at all and the pellets in the pot won’t light! We never got the chance to re inspect it but they planned on checking the board for damage. I wouldn’t mind putting some money into it but it’s frustrating and was really enjoying this stove when it worked! I really appreciate the input.
