I finally got my wood shed built over the summer (picture attached). I had been planning it out for three years and finally it’s a reality. It’s a nice view out our back window - especially knowing that we have wood drying for the winters ahead.

It’s always cool to see the ingenuity and creativity of our members. I’m asking others to post a picture of their wood supply (pile, stack, rack, shed, etc) to this thread.

Thanks!
Matt

Wow that is great! I hope to some day build something like that! For now my wood stays on pallets with a tarp over the top and halfway down the sides. Or inside the barn once it's been dried

I have 2 of these waiting to be used. I question how easy it will be to retrieve the bottom layers?
Easy, you just cut a few of the crossmembers out, leaving the top one for stability. Easy!

After 5 years of tarps and having them blow off at least once a year finally built a decent shed! Got the roofing for free off a job site, which started the ball rolling, there’s a small cedar mill in town, and they where over stocked and got a great deal so built it all out of yellow cedar. Holds 4 cords.

Made from plastic pallets I picked up free, the ends are the cage from a IBC tote, and the roof is my old oil tank cut in half.

Another cord without a real roof yet.
A few of my pallet racks are in the background , with steel roofing, or IBC tank roofing

Not a sleek design, but it gets the job done. Pallet shed, holds two cords. Usually have to fill it once in fall and later in Jan. Everything else is on pallets under rubber roofing.

Hahaha. Found a couple in the stack that had been magnetized.
I think i found a couple longer splits that i could wedge those onto precariously. Your right it is funny looking.

Nothing fancy like some of you guys but i don’t burn wood in the house. This is just for our outdoor fire pit and camping trips. Since this pic was taken I have burned all the left shed and have since filled it with trees from our property. It’s all cottonwoodwhich was dead standing. Total length is only 20’ and 4’ deep.

I’ve got roughly 24 cord sitting around, Most of which was cut & split last winter. This was going to be our first year burning but after doing a lot of reading on here, I decided on new windows, doors & some insulation to help with proper stove sizing, so looks to be next year before we start burning, plus Mama Bear has to send some debris down the road to make space for the stove. Propane was $1.29 gal. on last fill so it’s not outrageous... “Yet”. I am keeping my eyes open for Black Friday stove sales, probably not likely but may as well look.
