Stove programming is proprietary,even if you get a data stream,I bet it will tell you nothing.You need to make friends with a RIKA technician,and get the factory program.
This is not a RIKA stove. This processing unit in the stove is from Fumis. After some research I found that a lot of these stoves use this controller. They sell a device for technicans which can read the data stream. I guess the brand will not add additional protection, but it remains a guess indeed.

So you need the machine code from the processor that FUMIS uses, break into it and evaluate which language they programed it with and build a program that can process the data. Might be easyer to become a stove tech and just use thier tools.

So,I had to think about this,for the Austroflamm part,made a few phone calls.Rika was(still is) the parent company of Austroflamm,the last units imported to the USA were labeled RIKA.Then,Austroflamm became the wood stove department of RIKA.RIKA still makes and sells high quality pellet stoves.Austroflamm still sells wood stoves,and now,pellet stoves,again,however appears they are rebranded Italian stoves,which are partially made in China.What a marketing mess,lol.
That is very interesting. Still they use a Fumis controller inside the stove and also Fumis refuses to sell the Quick Pro device that is used by service technicians. What a mafia. I have to sell via an official distributor. But off course no distributor is willing to sell me this because I am an end user. It all comes down to the fact that they are protecting their service network to gain a lot money for maintenance tasks that could easily be done by the owner. If your contacts are able to help me with the technical manual and/or being able to sell this Fumis Quick Pro device used by Austroflamm pellet stoves, I will be very grateful to you.

It is very common for manufacturers to keep this information "proprietary",same as automotives.All the major pellet stove manufacturers and suppliers are the same,over here.Not a new thing at all,but,in my opinion,not a right thing.On automotive vehicles,it created so many problems,for the repair industry,federal laws were introduced to allow opening the programming up,and,in most of the world that also happened.I do not expect to see this ever happening in the pellet stove industry,as it is so small.Good luck with your project,and please keep us informed.
The point is that it remains "proprietary". This is a closed software device that is used by service technicians not working directly for Austroflamm, Rika or Fumis. It allows them to read out service codes, update software and reset maintenance timers. I just need to find a willing technician that is able to help as they can get hold of this. It is not that I am trying to break into their software in any way. I just want to properly maintain my own stove.

I also have an Austroflamm Clou Pellet stove and want to do maintenance by myself.
Did you find out a way to reset the service counter ?
