Need help on my 25 pdvc I thought the top auger motor went out so I got a new one stove started up fine then the top auger stoped working motor is good don't know what happen.

Hows the path through the stove, clean? Vacuum hose ends good, not cracked or split? Vacuum port clear? Combustion motor running good? Door gasket pass the dollar bill test? Hopper lid switch out of adjustment?

Does anyone know the vacuum switch that's hooked to the top auger if that's a pu-vs or a cu-vs.I know they says if it stays open it will stop the top auger from running

Models after 2006 the switch that is connected directly to the fire box (upper auger) is a cu-vs

Jump it. If the stove works correctly it's the vac switch. Just make note of where ea wire goes.

Jumped switch it's works ordered new cu-vs switch seems this model take 2 different ones now I have to find a diagram from when I get new one to hook wires up

just take a pic of yours now and put wires in the same place on new one

The new switch is different it's a factory the ones on it now are honeywell guess they were replaced once before. The new.switch has the terminals kind of stacked on top of each other just got.to know if I used bottom term and top term and let the middle one not hooked up.I don't think it matters what wire goes where but matters where you have them hooked on the switch

terminals should me marked. get out the magnifing glass. or you can ck with multimeter

Can you post a closeup of the switch and wires? Assuming the new switch is good. And the wires are on the correct terminals. The hose is on the grey/white nipple and said hose is clear and the port it connects to in the firebox is clear. Check all the pathes through the stove and clean every nook and cranny. Then pull the combustion blower and clean in the chamber and impeller. Then check the vent and make sure it is clean and no dead critters or birds nests

All that is good that's the first thing I checked and wires are on right as said from England tech support.I can't figure out why it stoped after 5 minutes of running and no error codes unless the control panel went out again but that's 2 years old

Seems like flame real lazy going to try different vacuum switch and new door gasket and double check hoses I don't know what's going on with it

Ok I had this happen to me last year about this time. Going to sound far fetched but it is what it was. Check your convection blower intake screen. They get dirty with pet fur or dust along with the squirrel cage. You will need to remove it and blow it out with compressed air. When they get dirty they slow down and do not move enough air over the chamber and it trips the overheat sensor without a code being displayed. Had it happen a few times. Now it’s in my monthly cleaning schedule. My two cents but worth a try and doesn’t cost anything but about 20 minutes.

Just make sure you unplug the stove and be very careful removing the blower past the control board.

That my friend is the one that I am talking about. It not only blows heat out but you need it to move a certain amount of air of the chamber to keep it from over heating . and that is what I think you are doing. Happens to me also. Plus keep the passages open behind the baffle plate. Sometimes you need to put a small tube on your ash vac to reach down in there along with a wire and a heavy mallet to loosen it up. That temp sensor can play all kinds of tricks on things if you are not clean. I have been dealing with a PDV-25 for a few years so have learned a few tricks but am still learning.
