So we've been burning along swimmingly, changed up our pellets this year due to not being able to get Hamers. Have been super pleased with the new brand, Wood Pellets CO they are burning hot and clean. So well that we aren't even worried about getting our hands on the Hamers we were searching for.

BUT last night my husband realized that the blower motor wasn't running, even though it was on and hot. Since then I've been watching it and the blower comes on and goes off and doesn't seem to have any real method to it's madness.

So far we have cleaned off the blower motor, and I just did a full clean/ blow out, which hadn't been done in a few weeks.

What would be our next step if it continues to cut on and off?? Hubby mentioned a heat sensor, but I can't seem to find one for our stove, unless I'm missing something??

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

Need to know the make and model of your stove

Welcome to the forums Briggsy13. If you would be so kinds as to put your stoves make, model, year in your signature settings. We could jump right in and figure out the problem.

Sounds like the motor is getting too hot and shutting itself off on a thermal overheat.. it will restart as it cools down. you can try taking the motor out and blow it out with compressed air, lube the bearings/bushings with electric motor grade oil and see if that helps..
When things get too dusty they can act just that way.

There is a small sensor bolted to the back of your firebox. You might want to remove it,sand it and the firebox, put back on,and see if it helps.

This makes sense, of course this happens during a cold spell.
