I need to replace the distribution blower and looking online the after market fasco has white, black, and also red and blue wires where the oem only has white and black. I did not pull my blower out yet , it still works but squeals on start up. What are the red and blue wires for on the after market one.

Fasco makes motors for a few different applications I worked for a harman dealer for years if we did use that aftermarket one with the four wires we just snip the blue and red or cap them you do not need them that blower could be used for other appliances or furnaces that migh require a different speed or wiring schematic the OEM one we get now just has the black and white
