If you can not get the set screw undone cut the shaft and replace. It all goes anyway. I learned a good lesson here on this deal. I always loosen my set screw on monthly cleans or at least every other one depending on ...... time and such on the clean and scratching my head. My stuff always comes off because I coat the set screw with anti-sieze. Silver junk in a small tube that will qualify you for a roll in the local play as the Tin Man, Grease it.

Because you have a more recent P68 than mine.....mine is a 2008, I have quiz you about your burn pot. Does your burn pot have a single row of 5 air holes right in front of the auger? Mine does and I am confused as to whether this is good or bad. I know new burn pots (ordered today) have a different air hole configuration. Also have you had to change your auger or auger motor or exhaust/combustion blower. Thanks in advance

Are you replacing the auger itself? Once you pull the motor off it’s pretty straightforward. Just a couple 7/16 bolts of I remember right. I pulled one a month ago in about 3 minutes

I bought my 68 new in 2014 so it's newer and started putting anti-seize on it from the get go. I also usually take the exhaust fan blade off every other cleaning and clean it and all behind then re-coat with anti-seize.

No, I have not had to replace the auger nor exhaust blower. My burn pot is the newer style I guess. It has 5 rows of many holes with more towards the edge of the pot. They do roll down close to the end of the auger but there's about 2 1/2 to 3 inches between the end of the auger and the first row of holes deepest into the pot.
