So to start, I got both of these for free. I am currently using the Whitfield to heat the back of the house, dining room, kitchen, and den. It gets turned off at night just because we aren’t down there. Both stoves work, I’m just seeing which one would be better. The Whitfield is a 1991 model, the Englander is a 2008. Either way I’m putting in a OAK.

Hello
I have worked on both, does the Whitfield have an Igniter like the 25-ep ?
They are both pretty good stoves!
Are you going to use both?

It does, but it doesn’t work. I’ve replaced it with no luck. I just light it using a torch. I’m only keeping one and giving the other to a buddy.

There is an electronic module the igniter plugs into and that module plugs into the control panel.
See my pics here.

Could be a bad module.
