Going to go look at an 04 55-shp22 to put in dads shop. Mfg 05/2004. I understand the sh stoves were sold by lowes. Anybody know what the "e" means? It has the same control panel as my 2016 and pics show same burn pot, wear plate, and baffle. Needs a lower auger motor and igniter but price is right. Thx, Bubba

No clue on the model number number (e).
How right is the price?
Easy enough repair.

Asking 3bills. Has extra gaskets, flat and rope, hearth pad, etc. I have a motor on hand. And a torch...

I bought my old Englander 2 years ago for $250. I am not even sure what model it is as this tag is confusing. I know the top auger spins at 1.5 rpm and it is supposed to be 1 rpm. The burn plate needed modified. It needed some wiring work that wasn't too complicated. It is safely installed and produces good heat and has been relatively trouble free once I got it dialed in. They need to be clean to work well and I clean it more than other stove owners are required but I am happy with it. Here is a picture of the plate if anyone wants to chime in and tell me what model it is.

Yours is an Englander 2200sqft model. They go by 3 model numbers. Shp is lowes, trp i think home depot, pdv is marketed as Englander. All three are the same stove. Some have gold trim, chrome trim, or like mine, no trim.
Did u replace your 1.5 auger motor? Testing with the trp i currently have in my house, id say a 1.5 would be perfect. I feel a 1rpm isnt enough and a 2rpm will run u out of the house. The 04 im going to get tomorrow may go in Dads workshop to replace the st croix lancaster we just installed and got up and running.

I did not replace it. After some coaching from Ssyko I got it dialed in as is. I usually run 2/8 with factory settings on the bottom numbers and I burn Hamer pellets. I keep my 1800 sq ft Cape Cod (not counting the basement) at 70 on the main floor and burn about 1 bag every 18 hours if the temps stay in the upper teens or higher which is normal in Maryland. On single digit nights I can maintain 67-68 degrees on the main floor. The stove is in the basement with no OAK. I replaced the exhaust blower last season. No other parts, just cleaning and dialing in.

Your stove is a 25-PDV
The other numbers are the same stoves sold under different names

Englander = 25-pdv
Summers heat = 55-shp22
Timber ridge = 55-trp22

All are the same stove and all made by ESW

Thx sir. Guess i may figure it out when i pick it up today.

Well, brought it home to dads workshop where it will live. Looks just like my '16 model inside and behind back panel. Only difference is no pedestal. It has sides that go streight down to the floor kinda like a pelpro looks. I will try to post a pic tomorrow. Damn heavy, i can tell you that! Should have it burning tomorrow.

Well it burns good. Vac switch and convection fan is bad. Question, it has a 1500rpm motor, 4bolt mounting. Apparently this only puts out like 130cfm. Would i b better off replacing with the 1550rpm 250cfm unit or put back in what it came with? Thx, Bubba

If the amp draw on the 3k motor is the same or less. the extra air moving through the stove won’t hurt anything. It will be a louder noise but in a shop just turn the stereo up a bit. Lol

Thats kinda what i thought so now i need to figure out which motor is which. Thx

The E suffix might be to represent some options that were thrown in.

I got a summer's heat from Lowes a couple years back, and it had a suffix (can't remember what it was) that denoted that it had nickel louvers, window trim and handle, vs other years where it didn't have the suffix and were the plain black models.

Well, we have all three now. Mine is all black, Dads is silver trim, and his workshop stove is gold trim. The shop stove is the only one with the "E". Dosnt matter either way really as long as it puts out heat.

I believe "L" stands for the retailer Lowes
