Ran across this Monday evening and thought I’d share. I’d been thinking about buying one and when I saw $28 and free shipping I couldn’t resist (don’t tell the wife).
Anyway, I got to wondering on Tuesday if maybe it wasn’t legitimate, that got my tracking info from USPS.
it arrived today in an Amazon box. Less than 48 hours. Anyway, for those who may be interested

Well that figures. I just got one for 45 frog skins and thought i cut a fat hog in the rear. Regardless i shoulda got one years ago. Cant believe ive been swingin that monster maul all these years and wakin up with numb hands. These babies are legit. It tends to get stuck in the hard to split rounds a lil more but i will take the trade off any day. You will love it.

I used to swing a Sotz , but switched to the X27 a couple of years ago and loved it but it doesn’t get some of the ugly stuff.
I’ve found that the splitter is slower and the exercise is enjoyable. Some days.

I agree. I enjoy hand splitting so im not givin up to the splitter until i have to. I usually kick the knarly chunks or anything that is too much effort aside. I will roll the splitter out and bust them up when im about done cutting wood for the year.

I use my splitter mostly when I run across stuff that I can’t turn down in the summer, and for hickory.
I’m not that old, but I’m too damned old to swing a maul when it’s 100 and humid.

I ordered one yesterday, used PayPal for payment and then got an email this morning saying my order had been canceled! Guess maybe they are out.

I checked back on their site.
They apparently have run out of them.
No surprise, I paid over a c-note with tax north of the border.
They can bust up a lot of wood in short order...way faster than a splitter.

I love mine! Probably split 10+ cords with it. I'm on my second one. The first design was too narrow where the head was riveted to the haft so the heads would break eventually there. Otherwise, I love it. They really do dampen that impact well :)

ETA: Warranty was SUPER easy! Sent them a pic of the broken head and they mailed me a new one.

Got mine off Amazon two years ago!

It's a really nice maul, I've probably put over 10 cords through it.
