I just started having an issue with my 562xp. Put a chain I haven't used yet this year but it is sharp on. Saw throws some oil but as soon as I put it in the wood, it bogs down and the bar/ chain get very hot. Oil hole on bar is clear and the oiler is working fine. There is a build up of oil flowing out by the oiler with the bar on. The bar is has been pretty beat up and has a lot of wear on it. Is it time to replace my bar?

Sounds like it's too tight more than oil problem. Just how tight is it? Even without oil won't do that. My Oiler is broken on my 450 Rancher and don't do that. I just spray it with oil. Still works great. Some Silicon Spray. Just silly q. Is the chain on the right way?

Take the bar off and run the saw to see if the saw is pumping oil. If not then you can eliminate the bar And go from there. Then you would need to get into the pump maybe by putting a piston stop tool into the spark plug hole and removing the clutch to get into the pump. I think, I did it last summer to one of my saws but I can’t exactly remember what I did. There are videos about working on oil pumps and tubes on YouTube if you want to learn more. Let us know what happens when you check the oil flow without the bar on.

Don't use a piston stop...
just remove the clutch with an impact, remember left hand threads!!!
leave the spark plug in.
Have seen pistons damaged and rods bent from piston stops...

The original bar had a lot of "miles" on it. Even though the oiler hole seemed fine, it just wasn't working well. Ordered a new woodlandPRO bar from bailey's and it works like new. Satisfied so far with the bar so going to order one for my ms170.
