Haugh’s S120

I recently acquired a Hough’s S120 that I’m trying to restore. I have not been able to find any literature or other information on this model. Not even from Century who purchased the brand.
Any advice or information would be appreciated.

Check with your insurance if you can use a non-ul listed stove. It defaults to NFPA 211 standards with no tag.

Looks like a very early variant of the Century S244. Possibly. I have a S244 sitting here I can compare to your measurements. The later models have a standard loading door without spin control air intakes. They have a slide type primary air control above the door. What is the width across the stove face just above the loading door? Dimension across the side of the stove?

Really you may be as much money ahead to buy a new one with tags (insurance) and door glass (not cheap). They are priced rather cheap new.

I’ve found a couple glass suppliers online and looks like it will run $50-$60 or so (still researching what I need) Plus the cement(?) and door gasket. Then fire brick, paint and done.
I’ll be using it outside so I can hold off on glass if necessary.

The S244 here measures 21 across the front. Front to back stove body is 14. The rear heat shield adds another 1 inch for a total of 15 inches. Sounds like a very similar stove if not exact.

If you can get glass for 50 or 60 its reasonable. The glass uses a flat gasket and the door takes door gasket. Hard to tell if your takes the same gaskets as the 244? You can easily research Century S244 manual for gasket details I believe. If I get time I'll look at mine tomorrow.

Yes sounds like they are very similar. Mine does not have a heat shield though.
I’ll look up that manual.
Maybe patio but most likely in my “cook shack”...covered sitting area, tin roof, no walls.
