Hi,

I am almost finished installing my wood stove. My chimney is going through the wall outside and up through the soffit/roof.

The part that I am unsure of is where it passes through the roof.

Is it ok for the triple wall chimney to rest against the soffit/attic shield?

For me to mount the bracket now I would have to cut some trim away where the sofit meets the side of the house ( doesn't bother me) I am just worried the soffit/attic shield is not allowed to touch the chimney.

See pic for better understanding.

Thank You

Nope it needs centered in that

ok thank you.

The only lengths they seem to sell are 6" 12" and 24". I need about 16 maybe 18. What do you suggest?
Why can't you just use a 24? Your sheild is upside down as well. Do you even have your 2" clearance there?

Yes I know its upside down. I was trying to see where the chimney would sit. Its a tight fit there.

I think 24" would be too long. My soffit is exactly 24".

Yes I do exactly 2" between the house the the T going up. I ordered a 6" pipe to extend it away from the hose a bit but I don't understand how I would mount the T support part that is bolted to the house if it is spaced away anymore.

Thanks for your help

Can't you just extend it into the house further? I have never used that system do I don't know. The stuff I use I just cut it to length.
