I have a log cabin on the water that has a heat pump with electric emergency heat. This past winter, even with keeping the home at 64F, our electricity bill was $400 for a 1800 sq foot home. I am looking to install a pellet stove in the living room, where the air intake for the heat pump is located. I want a modern looking stove. I like the Ravelli Vittoria V or Ravelli Holly C and Piazetta Sabrina stoves. Does anyone have any feedback?

Never worked on any of of the Italian stoves. But i have seen many here on the forums that have trouble finding parts or service. Many manufacturers make modern style stoves. Have you looked at any others? My maxx looks very similar.

Sounds like Italian cars. Nice to look at, drive nice when working but you need parts, good luck with that.

If I was ever to buy another unit (doubtful), I believe I'd buy something more mainstream and with many in service.

We like our Ravelli Francesca. It is small and stylish. Fits our need. It has been problematic since we purchased it. I’ve chosen to do the repairs and service myself. It’s been a pain but I’m experienced in all repairs electromechanical and I won’t pay someone to try and troubleshoot the problems. They usually end up being parts swappers. This is our fourth winter using the Francesca and the first season we haven’t had an air flow board failure. The auger motor unit failed a couple of months first season followed by the MAF unit later that season. Like the Italian car, nice when it’s running. Recommend? Nyet!

Itallian cars are sexy but when the break... You'd better have a thick wallet... :)
