We recently moved to a home that has a back yard that's inaccessible to my truck. I've been spoiled over the years with being able to drive back and just offload wood where it will be processed and stacked. Found a 12 cu ft gorilla dump cart that will haul 1600 lbs and get the wood from the front yard around the side to the back yard. Put it to the test this weekend hauling a couple and a half cords from the old house to the new. Can't say enough about this cart. It pulls easy even loaded with oak and hickory to the top of the rails. The tires are big and roll over rocks easy. Dump feature works well and it all seems really sturdy. The handle also comes off to allow a hitch connection to a garden tractor or atv. If you're in the marked for a big dump cart look no further. Paid $240 plus tax at home depot. Worth every penny!

gorilla cart is the best. not only can it haul but can handle an incredible amount of abuse without falling apart

Been using one for years hauling my loads in from the outside during the burning season. I hook it to my ATV when loaded and drag it through the snow to the point of where I have it downhill into my walk-out basement door. Then I pull it by hand into the basement.

It has taken it's abuse well.

JRHAWK9- why didn't you graft on a full set of 8 foot 2x4's on the sides of that Gorilla? You could have doubled what you have on it in the pic!

;lol

You can see what was an afterthought, as I just added those additional pieces this year. Reason being was that before I added them I could pull it loaded by hand through the woods and up a slight grade and to the basement walk-out (when there is no snow). I then screwed my back/left leg up temporarily early this past fall and had to use the ATV to do it. Seeing I had to use the ATV, I may as well made it worth the while and decided to increase it's capacity. The first couple times I went to turn up the incline with it being pulled with the ATV I was worried it was going to topple over. So, to answer your question, 8' tall sides would for sure topple it over and it also would not fit through my basement door....smart-azz. ==c ;lol

BTW, a typical load like what you see in the photo is ~500lbs of 5-6 year old seasoned oak. Well within it's rated capacity of 1,200lbs.

Just put in 1 screw at the bottom of the 2x4. Then the 2x4 will hit the top jamb of the basement door and lean over, and the top of the load will form a convenient woodpile right outside the basement door! ;lol

JR that's just wrong. Says something for that wagon.

Problem is that's not where I want it. I wheel it through the basement to the other end and stack it on a wood rack. :)

as long as it works! It's really not much weight, less than 50% of it's rated weight capacity.

Just bought one of these based on your recommendations and I am extremely happy. Perfect for moving wood to the woodpile and also the perfect transport for moving kindling to the house. Much easier to load and manoevre than a wheelbarrow.

I am going to get one too and much easier for me to load my bird seed on and pull it around...The wheel barrel is getting really hard to use so these are nice..clancey
