Burning Hunk

It's a B7100 hydro drive from the early 1980s, 1500 hours, no attachments.

I know nothing about what to look/watch out for, what questions to ask. I'm generally handy at maintaining/fixing cars/power equipment but I'm not terribly familiar with diesel powered stuff.

I have not looked at it yet. Seller is asking $3k obo.

Advice will be much appreciated.

For a Kabota b7100 with nothing as long as
it runs and sounds good the price is very good
My farm next door had one he used it for his garden and grass cutting
also had a small blower for it
I used it every spring to rototill my garden nice little machine

The price is a little high with no attachments for my area but not crazy. And pricing on equipment varies allot depending on location

Thanks for the replies. I think I'll have a look at it.

Check for rot at the rims. alot of the older back tires were filled with calcium to add weight to the back. Will you be adding the loader attachment if you get it
You can use glycol to do the same and avoid the rot.

Thanks for the heads up regarding the possibility of rim rot. The tractor sold before I could look at it so the hunt continues. My plan is to have something to skid logs to a convenient bucking area and to pull a trailer around the property. I hadn't given a loader serious thought but I admit it would be a handy attachment.

you can.. but most dont.. especiallyin the 80s when the tractor was built

my kubuta is like 4 years old and I have beet juice in mine.. environmentally friendly..

We have a b7100 gear tractor and what a little beast it is for its size. It will pull way more than the tractor can handle. Great little tractors and fuel sippers. We had to put a clutch in and rebuild the steering box and new seals in the 3pt internal cylinder. Just minor stuff for a 1979. Our tractor runs out of traction before power.
