Chimney size Jotul 602

We just bought a used Jotul 602N (in great shape) for a very small cabin (150 sq ft). Installation specs do not describe the diameter for a pre-fab double-wall chimney. I have an 8" double-wall chimney and am wondering if it's ok to use? Specs for masonry chimneys are clear: at least 6" and not more than 8".

It was designed for 120mm or 5" but will work on 150mm or 6". The stoves came with a 120 to 150mm increaser. 8" is pushing it.

Yes, 8" would be too large. Forgetting performance even, from a purely aesthetic argument it would dwarf the stove. Attached is a pic of ours in our cabin with 6" double wall and 6" insulated above. 6" even looks big for that stove when using double wall.

Thanks for your advice. Is it possible/advisable to use a 4” chimney on this stove?

No, it's not recommended and class A chimney is not made that small afaik.
