Does anyone know if all Baby Bears have only one draft control/vent in the door or is it possible that there were some made with 2?

Baby Bear doors have one air intake.
Many are marked with a B inside.
Mama and Papa use the same door.
Many are marked with a M/P inside.
That appears to be an early Mama Bear in your pic. Papa is wider so the front plate has a 1 inch space from door to angle iron corner. Your door comes up to the angle iron, so the stove is not as wide as Papa.
It should accept a 24 inch log inside front to back.
It should measure 17 1/2 inches across top plate.
Firebox exterior should measure 16 wide x 27 deep.
Door opening should measure 11 high 10 wide.
Baby Bear will accept 18 inch log.
It will measure 15 1/2 across top plate.
Firebox exterior is 14 wide x 22 deep.
Door opening is 8 wide x 9 high.

Okay. Thank you. That is what I was afraid. We are on the hunt for a Baby Bear.
They gave me measurements of 15 1/2" wide - 26" tall - 29" long, so those are closer to the Baby Bear, especially in width, but I have asked more detailed measurements.

They probably measured width of firebox and when you add the overhang of top plate, the top plate will measure 17 1/2.
Fisher used the overall width of top plate and overall length including ash fender (shelf) and outlet pipe so people knew if they would fit through doorways. Due to the picture showing the 6 inch pipe in the back, it’s a Mama, Since a 6 inch pipe looks huge on a baby Bear.
If you cut a piece of paper the width of the pipe on your screen, that is measuring 6 inches to scale of pic across the back. Looks like 3 pipe widths will probably fit across the back showing it is closer to 18 inches wide than 16. You can only fit 2 1/2 pipe widths across the back of a Baby Bear. 3 across a Mama.

I don’t think you can go wrong with any Englander product.
The main reason I started this forum was for people buying and selling Fisher Stoves. The Everything Fisher thread in the sticky section was the first thread I started with how to identify the different models. That took off, so I added a thread for the Bear Series single doors, and thread for the Fireplace Series double doors. Those threads not only identify, but give the history and details of each model.
