So I had a guy come out and install a flue liner in my unlined masonry chimney for a wood burning fireplace and he installed the first 20ish ft from the top with a stainless liner. He left a gap of about 2.5 ft, the lined 3ft ft from bottom up. So there’s a 2.5ft gap in my liner. Is this remotely normal?
