I have a 2008 Quadra fire Mt Vernon AE. I have replaced several igniters and fuses in the 14 years I have had it. Just a week ago, I got a error message with the 5 bars - - - - - Says possible cause is wall control or control board. The thermostat was replaced 2 years ago, so I’m wondering if it is most likely the control board. The stove was running when the message came on. The stove over ran the set point of the thermostat. I lowered the set point of the thermostat, but stove kept running and temperature in the house kept rising. The stove would not shut down ( I’m glad I was home while this happened ). I finally had to unplug the stove and deal with all the smoke. Could this be from a bad control board??

I've had the same issue on my 2008 model. I've also replaced my thermostat in the past. Really hoping it's not the control board, ($$) will try replacing the thermostat control wires just in case somebody damaged them with a staple. Good luck
