anyone have one? still on my quest for an insert looking at a few used ones right now....thanks for any input ... search didnt yeild much.
 
I have not personally owned one but I did sell four of them to customers. One overfired it and melted the baffle so badly the stove had to be retired. The other three were to the same customer, two in his personal residence and one in his rental. They were excellent stoves as far as heat output and quality construction. They didn't have any specialty parts so sourcing aftermarket stuff like a Cat shouldn't be much of an issue. The clip that holds the cat is the only pseudo specialty part I remember on that stove and that part could be made in your garage with a bolts, chunk of steel and a a tap.
