Got the hard maple up from the grapple load. Measures out to 1 1/2 cords. :)
Think I shoud have put a cripple in the middle of the long (30ft) length? Is it gonna fall down between now and two years from now?
Some say I would be suprised how it will hold up.

Stack On ::-)

That's a pretty long span.The tops of big older trees can sway quite a bit in strong gusts.My longest stack is around 17ft, had to restack about 1/2 of it it once already since it was topped off Aug 2011.I've seen deer rub on some stacks in the past,that couldve been my problem also.

Nice stack. I bet it makes it :)
If you post a picture of re-stacking, we'll know.
I had part of a stack fall, plan to re-stack in the spring or later this winter. Good outdoor exercise ;)

After super storm Sandy, I expected to be restacking every stack. Did not loose one split. I was pleasently surprised considering these 100 ft pines were bending at 45-60 degree angles at times. The bases don't move much at all.

Bacffin, in 50+ years I've restacked just a part of a stack exactly one time. Worry not about it holding up.

Nice work Bacffin, I have some stacked between some White Pines, it will fall over. !!!

No zap!
