Kids threw teddy bear at glass, how to clean?

Razor blades work on the inside of my glass without a problem. Should work fine on yours.
Or use a bunny to clean it. Nothing sticks to their fur, or so a bear told me.

I had a similar scenario but it was my dog playing catch with himself with a plush toy, stuck right to the glass. I used a scrape blade the next morning once the glass was cool so it didn't smear. There was residue but a little white vinegar cleaned it right off.

I had someone get polartec melted on mine...probably pretty much the same stuff. First, I think it will burn off with time. Second, you can try carefully wiping it when hot...it's more likely to come off then,.But use a silicone tool and try to do it before the glass gets to 500. Like a spatula. Or, when it's cold, use one of the flat nylon scrub things made for cleaning non-stick pots: they work well on the glass. Won't scratch it.

carefull use of a razor blade at the proper angle will scrape it off, a nice new clean sharp edge blade, not a gouged up dull old one

You can buy plastic razor blades, that are a bit more gentle, typically for autobody stuff:

but i would just go to town on it with a real blade. if you are careful, that should be good. Plastic ones if you are concerned.

I used a razor blade to remove melted barbie hair off of the glass on the fireview.

Metal spatula got melted fleece off of mine. Could probably find the post still on here

I don't remember exactly how it happened, but we had a similar situation with my brother's teddy bear when I was a kid. Grandma had to do some surgical teddy skin grafting.

With kids, you need a bottle of "Goof Off" on hand at all times. Great for for removing almost anything. Be sure the stove is cold, this stuff will go WOOF.

I clean windows for a living. What I would try first is let the glass cool ( totally ), get it wet with water and dish soap ( to make the razor glide easier) use a new single edge razor to scrape it off. The key is to keep the glass wet....

I use a single edge blade to scrape the black glass of my BK all the time. Never had a scratch.

I had a similar mark on mine (bottom of tennis shoe from the grandson.) After giving up trying to remove the imprint I left it alone and with the heat it gradually disappeared.

I agree with the others.....a brand-new, sharp razor blade. You can clean up any leftover residue with a little bit of paint thinner or even give one of those magic erasers a try (when the glass is cool, of course...)
