Beautiful crop you have there, fuel! Is that Signal Knob? I'm down the ridge on Short Mountain near Mount Jackson.

I am not sure where Signal Knob is located, but it could be a few ridges north from the "Peak". You are not to far away.

Haven't seen those walking irrigation rigs since back in West Texas.

Nice looking crop.

Wish my bees where hanging out there for a month.

whoops -wrong end. Signal Knob is up north by Strausburg. Part of a chain of signal towers that connected Winchester to Richmond in the civil war.
Always wondered - Is canola the same species that often shows up now in all the unplowed fields? I know there are a ton of Brassicas out there.

Interesting. I had no idea what canola looked like. Do you harvest that with a regular grain head?

Hey I've seen that ultralight! Wow takes some canol-jes to fly that ;lol

When we lived in Fairfax, we used to have a weekend place on the South Fork of the Shenandoah between Luray & Front Royal (and my daughter went to JMU in Harrisonburg). That valley is a drop-dead gorgeous place that just oozes agricultural activity. I always loved it out there (of course, compared to being in Fairfax, damn near anyplace would be a relief ;lol).

Harrisonburg is an awesome town! (Regardless of that party a few years back that got out of hand..) never had a problem with any kids there. Great food scene, had an awesome brewpub for years, too. Gotta go paddle the south fork again soon.
