Is Fireside Ultra any better than Green supreme?? I've always used Green Supreme with no problems and I like the low cost but I can get Fireside for a bit less than GS this year.

Last year I saw 245-250 degree convection temps on setting three from the FSU. GS temps were 215-220 at the same setting. Some complained about the fines in the FSU. I sift all my pellets so I did not notice a problem.

My $.02

From my experience last year, FSU are the better bet. GS stink.

Thanks Guys! That was a quick response time. I will go with the FSU's this year and give my stove a break from the GS's. Now to clean the stove inside and out and paint the front of it and i'll be good to go for another season of savings from that dreadful oil.

How do I get rid of the "new member" status attached to my profile? I've been a member for awhile now.

FSU... hope they manage to work there way here this year. Seeing crap in the box stores right now. Not making me happy :ZZZ

NO FU's here ...your lucky!!

OP where did you find fireside ultra's for cheaper than GS? I'm in central NH as well. My luck this year has not been as good as last year finding deals!

The Home Depot in Hooksett has em for 219.00 a ton and I purchased em for 197.00 with a veteran's discount. I believe they have another 15 tons left for sale. I will pick up another 1/2 ton to complete my season usage.

I was there last weekend looking for other stuff and they had a sign for $195/T out front. I asked if they were FSU's and they told me "yes". Posted in the "pricing" section above.

I wonder if they're last year's pellets?

Would have been nice to get that price plus the discount.

I ordered 5 tons of the FSU from Manchester when they were $195 a ton last week and used a 10% lowes movers coupon and had them match it... all in all $175 a ton out the door! FTW!!!!!!

I liked the FSU's last year. More importantly, so did my stoves. However, I did try a couple of bags of GS in the P61a, and they did pretty well too. Since FSU's are cheaper, that would be my choice.
