Stove: Sofia Ecoteck--beautiful stove, dealer installed Oct 2013. I burned high quality pellets and swept stove every morning. Worked well for a couple weeks, then got the following error message: "Alarm Active" "No Lighting." It goes through the clean cycle and stops.

Tried: Priming the auger. No change. Auger does not prime or appear to attempt to move.
Tried: Cleaning everything. No change. Emptied hopper as much as possible. No change.
Tried: Restarting stove. No change.

I'm assuming this is a pilot light issue?

Any thoughts before I call the guys back out to the house? I've attached some pictures, maybe this will help. Thanks for any help/advice. (Pics: stove, burnpot, auger in empty hopper, tunnel from auger to burnpot, under burnpot, and error messages)

Do u try and manually fill hopper. Never had issue but sounds like something in auger or auger motor bad. Check for power at auger motor. How old is stove

From my Elena manual - with that error - auger not loading pellets - could be hopper lid switch no functioning (check wiring) or door not closing properly and safety switch not registering door closed.

Edit - Likely hopper lid switch - Disconnect power to stove before attaching wires...

Did you get a 32 page manual? If not let us know, can send you a copy...

dk2 check your fourth photo - is that a rock in the upper right of the feed tube?

1) First clear the Alarm (press Power button (#3)
2) Make sure the hopper lid and fire box door is closed
3) Prime the auger (in Menu 5 Stove State), do you hear the auger motor run??

If the auger does not run, check the hopper door switch wires, and the firebox door latch switch. Unplug the stove first !, these wires are 110VAC hot ! Someone else had the wires on the firebox door switch fall off. You need to remove the right side panel to access that switch.

You will get a No Light alarm if the auger does not work, or you are out of pellets, or the ignitor has failed.

So sorry for the delay in response...life happened. I'm going to try these suggestions today and post back my results. Thank you so much for taking time to respond! Lake Girl, I did not receive page 32 of your manual. Can you resend?

Thank you again LakeGirl and Pelleting in NJ: I fixed the problem with your help! Attached is a picture diagram of the hopper door of the Sofia pellet stove. The metal plate that was supposed to 'trip' the auger was not making contact with the switch button. According to the notes on the "Microswitch for the automatic stop of the auger when opening hopper cover"---when closing the hopper, one should hear a "click" sound. I was not hearing that sound. Once I moved the metal plate down and made sure it was making contact with the switch, I heard the "click" and started the stove---no problem! I KNEW it wasn't broken...just something minor! Thank you!

Darn idiot switches. My shop stove has had most of them jumpered. Can't hardly get a peek in the hopper without it shutting the stove down. No time delay with that particular stove.
