With about 1/4 inch flat blade screwdriver one should be able to get under the old gasket and pry it out. Need to get out all the old gasket adhesive and thats where a good brush comes in to rub out the old material. The blade of screwdriver can help get out the bigger chunks. The package should give directions on the use of the adhesive. Lay in the new gasket rope into channel and trim to length but maybe with a little extra to get the ends to butt together tight. Remove the new gasket and apply the adhesive and put the new gasket in on top and taking care to get the ends pushed together well. Now one wants the gasket to lay in the channel well so get some old books or in my shop, bricks. Lay a sheet of wax paper over the stove door so if the adhesive leaks it won't attach itself to the weights. Will take a couple of hours to set properly if you got the same kit as I pictured earlier.I have the 3/8 gasket and adhesive, could someone please provide instructions. Please don't take offense, it's just that I need instructions that are a little more detailed
