Blinking St. Croix

Multiple issues with a St Croix Auburn.
I bought this 2004 Auburn and the person before me changed out the control board. It now has a newer control board and so when I try to start it up, it gave me the dreaded blinking #2. I shorted out the vacuum switch and now it looks like it is going to start up normal( On / Off blinking) THE AUGER does not auger. Then it does a click, the room fan shuts down and then the #1 light stays on and the #5 blinks. The exhaust fan maybe a little weak, but it bellows out smoke. It is on a test bench so there should be no problems with blockage. Any suggestion? high limit not tripped, POF works great. Room fan works great. Auger works when directly hooked up to 110. so maybe a weak exhaust fan? Any ideas what the blink #5 means?

Try resetting the program. Plug it in and press heat up and down arrows and auger feed at the same time. Heat range lights will blink the program. Keep doing this till you get 3 blinks.

I plugged it in and all it did was scroll through the lights... 1,2,3,4,5, auger power. then I remembered I had the vacuum jumpered, so I put that back to normal and now when I do the heat / auger... Nothing. no lights or sounds. If I do the High / Low draft and auger I get rapid lights blinking. Any suggestions appreciated. Also does this look correct? The jumper wire just hanging? I have only worked on the older digital boards and I don't know if this is even the correct board for this model of stove.
 
Can Anybody tell me if that is the correct control board for an Auburn? Or should it say NON- Revolution stoves on bottom?
 
You can clean that stove until the cows come home, but if you dont hook the leaf blower to the exhaust and suck it out with the door open you CANNOT get the hidden passages clean. I did this to several stoves last season. Pulling .1 draft when I arrived and .3 after sucking them out.
 
I think St croix Uses the same board from auto and manual light stoves now. They just need set for the stove you have. Somebody should have the directions/manual that comes w/ the board.

I tried to get it to program 3, but it wouldn't light up like you said. I talked to St. Croix people and the # 5 blinking after 30 seconds is a diagnostic mode. They said everything looked correct and the board was bad. I have another Auburn with an older board, so I put that one in and it worked fine. I just can't get the heat up / down auger lights to light up.
 
Update on the stove... I replaced the control board and everything started working. I thought I cleaned the stove out up and down and all around, but just for the h of it, I put a leave blower in the exhaust. There was crap flying out ... defiantly worth it.

An ash vac can only do so much when there are twisty-turny pathways, plus hidden nooks and crannies involved. The LBT sure does make a difference.
 
Oh, by the way, glad the new board solved you issue!
 
Good to hear you got the stove back and running as we got another cold spell to help make some ice. 18F here now. Got to run the Elena for couple hours this morning. Nice friend to have in the dining room with breakfast.
 
I have a St Croix pellet stove and. Absolutely nothing happens when I try to turn it on, I have checked the fuse and it is very clean, any suggestions ?? Thanks
 
your not getting any indication of power? what make model and year is your stove?
 
have you taken the control board out and inspected it for burnt traces or components? I would be leaning towards a bad board if there is no lights.
 
I didn't see any burn spots or anything that may have looked out of place on the control panel and fuse is good.. nothing happens when I plug it in, I have tried everything I can find out to try and still nothing ??
 
use a multimeter and see if the power cord is any good. ck the power at your outlet.
