I have been burning two to three year old mulberry and locust with a little hedge here and there during this cold snap. Either way you will not be disappointed season for a couple years then wait for some cold sit back and relax. The secondaries are a great blue flame show and the heat is awesome. I know the labs enjoy it they sleep in front of it all night.
@heavy hammer couldn't agree with you more. :)
:)

I've burned Mulberry, and that wood looks like that. If it is
Mulberry, it will age to a rust color on the yellow- but split
that and it will still be yellow inside. A great firewood- wish
I had some more!

don't wanna be a Debbie downer but to me it looks like sassafras, when you split it does it have an almost citrus like smell? Still burns, just not nearly as long or hot, around here we usually leave it or it ends up in dozer piles.

looks like mulberry - great firewood.
