Central PA
woke up to a fresh coating of snow this morning. . . they are talking 2-4" here in PA til its all said and done. . . . so I guess the firewood cutting is on hold for this weekend! is anyone else getting crappy weather today?

Looking at the radar I'm right at the "mixed" line. Hasn't started here yet but it will shortly. I really hate to see this, I'm starting my new site project Monday and the last thing I need is snow

Can't remember the last time I had a fire in April. Until this morning.
I took a few days off from burning when it was warmer, but I'm now back to around the clock. That's ok I have lesser wood I'm using up, and I like to be warm when I'm home at night since I work outside all day

My son was over last night and we got two pickup truck loads of wood moved off the back 40 and into the yard by the splitter...knowing that the snow would hit today...which it did. Working inside today~!

Could see 10 ft in front of ya last evening around 7 pm, couple inches on the green areas roads stayed pretty clear around here- few icy spots on overpasses and the like that's about it. sun out clear skies- nice warm 25 degs out. Might get above freezing later.

Yes same for us, I was shut down last week due to the warmer weather, but yesterday started the stove again and snow was falling and more expected this weekend.. Good thing is the neighbor dropped a nice size black walnut that I can have so I guess not all that bad.. 70's next week....

Just started snowing here, I'm really trying to get motivated to get to my local stream for some opening day fly fishing, I just keep looking out the window and keep saying "do I really want to do this"

Ended up going to the creek, lost 3 fly's to some tree's, got frozen hands and a soak hat from the snow. Felt good to get out there though. Got home and that stove was doing its thing, felt good to stand in front of it

We got about five inches here and expecting lowes tonight around 20 been burning all week, and with the coming week not much of an improvement the fire will stay lit. Worked all day outside on a tower today froze my butt off nothing better than coming home to a nice fire.

The snow that fell today just blew away with the 45 mile an hour wind. We had our first graupel. Snow pellets like soft hail. And tonight we are going to break a low temp record set in 1972.

The 30 is cranking in April for the first time in a lot of years. I was tired of this wood burning stuff in November. Enough already!

We got about 5" of snow on Tuesday night/Wednesday morning. Mostly gone now but we got the mini snowballs like BB. Friday supposed to be 18C/65F. :):)

No snow here but it the 20's tonight & a hard freeze warning. Ick.
Get to burn a bit more...not so bad, if you ask me.

Edited to 20's not 2's lol.

It was a mild winter, but it just doesn't want to let go. It will be one of those years where we go from winter right into summer if this lasts.

Sunny and no snow at all here in Maine ... still pretty cool ... while I typically run the stove into May it is cooler than normal for this time of year.

Where's the new site at?

Routes 202 and 73, Center Square. I already brought home a pickup load of red oak, he says he has some Osage there also. I politely asked him to put some of that aside for me :)

Osage? wow good find.

Well that's what the guy told me. The piece he set aside that he said was Osage was not. I will have to post a pic, it looked more like juniper or something when I cut 2 pieces of it

We had snow peas falling from the sky the other day. It looked like rain rolling in but it was snow peas. Lol never seen that before. I had to mow the yard last week and this weekend it snowed.
