So i decided to make the stove easier to clean by putting disconnets on the motors. i am stumpted on how to remove the auger motor. i undid the set screw and nothing. it moves a little but does not come off. there are no other sfrews holding it on except the auger coupling. any help folks.

Sometimes the auger shaft gets mushroomed by the set screw. I had to use a pry bar to get mine off. I cleaned up the auger so that it fits nicely, and don't over tighten the set screw, and the motor comes off easily. If you're worried that the set screw will loosen, just add another one on top of it.

will give it a try next time i claen it. the setscrew goes thru a collar then the auger shaft then the motor shaft. its an odd arrangment.
