I have been burning Barefoot this year and I must say the heat is great, the ash is considerably more than the Okie Gold's I burned last year.

It's a light fluffy ash, but there is a lot of it!!!

Kind of comparing apple to oranges. Hardwoods(Barefoots) will produce good heat but come with higher ash. What was the price comparison between the Barefoots and the Oakie Gold?
