Just ordered 5 18" Tiger Champ bar .058 3/8 for flip saws and need them to fit some Sthil mount saws
Trying to go from a " D009 to a D025/3003 mount.

Got anything adapter wise or advice?
Will a simple dremmel do or will machine shop job be better?
I see where the Stihl bar slots are larger to fit over the bar studs and these don't...but the oiler's line up the same and as well as chain tensioner.

Thanks

Reg

Bar stud slots need to go from 9.0mm to 12.1mm width. Whole lotsa dremeling going on. Machine shop would be faster, more accurate. .050 vs .058 doesn't enter in here.

Much obliged.

Not only wider, but the slot should be made longer too if you want to use the same chains.

Nix that, I'm getting it wrong. Lengthening is necessary when going the other way, i.e. when using an adapter to run a 3003 bar on a D009 saw.
